This traditional Cuban music quartet is the most recent collaboration of notable Toronto based Cuban musicians like the Grammy award winning bass player, composer, arranger and producer Roberto Riveron, who joined forces with the veteran flutist Jorge Maza, Tres player/vocalist PablosKy Rosales and Composer/Arranger Wilver Pedrozo on percussion. The result of this combination of talents is a high energy band that plays a vast array of Cuban classics from the 1940’s and 50’s along with their own originals. This powerful ensemble entertains the most sophisticated audiences all over the G T A with their beautiful renditions of classical music themes, Jazz standards and even some contemporary pop music adapted to the contagious grooves of the Guaracha and the Cuban Son, hence the name of the band. The music of Guaracha Y Son is also a real treat for those who like dancing Mambo and Cha-Cha-Cha as well as for the listener . Exhibiting a high level of musicianship ,this band takes the audience in a beautiful entertaining trip to the Island of the music ; the place where so many rhythms that changed the musical spectrum of latin america and the world were created.
