Join us Thursday June 27th for a night of groove & soul music with Claire Doyle & the Magnephonics, a 4-piece group paying homage to the sounds of 60’s and 70’s Memphis and New Orleans’ funk and soul. Claire Doyle is the singer you seek for “mighty vocals”, with a warmth and dynamism often compared to such powerhouse vocalists as Etta James, Claire has cut her teeth in Toronto’s R&B music scene sharing the stage with such artists as Motown Legend Martha Reeves, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Lee Fields & The Expressions, and Daniel Caesar to name a few. She has co-written and recorded two full length LP’s as lead singer of 7-piece funk outfit “YUKA” and continues to offer her voice to many other soul/R&B groups in Toronto. The Magnephonics, which consists of some of the top musicians in Toronto’s diverse music scene: Bassist Scott McCannell, Guitarist James Taylor, and Percussionist Juan Carlos Medrano, offers a mix of original and old soul favorite to get you in the groove. It is sure to be a special pairing with Bloom’s wonderful culinary creations and superb customer service.
